Friday Flowers and Brixton Market

These flowers were a much stronger colour than the photo and iridescent, a feast for the eyes in Brixton Market - plenty more of those......

Circus and Federation Coffee

Leftovers - fantastic antique clothing etc.

Lamps by Charlotte Squire and Okan in view for Japanese street food.

Rachel and Malika's and below the view from inside their shop....

where I hadn't thought I was shopping but came out with a new plastic bowl...

Brixton also has it's own currency: the Brixton Pound, yes really, an initiative to shop locally and most traders accept it and some give discounts, more info here. All the above is very near the tube station, wander in Market Row and Brixton Village arcades.

  1. What fun to see this wonderful place! I wish I could pop on over and see it myself... So different from where I live. I accidentally discovered your chandeliers online and think they're gorgeous! You have a fan in the Pacific Northwest USA. Smiles across the sea...

    1. I love your neck of the woods, I was at Pilchuck last summer, loved Seattle too and did a beautiful train journey to Vancouver, you're in a really gorgeous part of the world.

  2. Never heard of the Brixton Pound - so an interesting read over at the link you gave.

Your photos are so colourful too - and that bowls looks so groovy!
