Cutting Shapes
I found this drawer - amongst some junk whilst rescuing the kitten a few posts back - and decided it would be a good way of housing my museum of special pastry cutters and chocolate moulds.
I had thought these little cutters in the above photo my smallest at 3¼ cm or just over 1¼ inches. That was until I found some icing accessories in a charity shop in Devon.
Look at the tiny tiny cutters with spring pushes,
I added a £1 coin to show the scale.
Below - surely the smallest cutter in the world!

Great idea for a drawer! I shall copy it.
ReplyDeleteWow - what did they cut with them??????
ReplyDeleteYou should fill some of your moulds with plaster - what fab sculptures they would make!! - well, a different kind of sculptures.
Hi Kathy, I'm sure they'd be for pressing out marzipan shapes or from rollable icing - for the most dedicated of cake decorators, maybe I should have a go on a rainy Sunday afternoon....
DeleteAnd great - you think like me - what use can these things be in my studio? before ever considering they might still have a job in the kitchen!
Beautiful drawer Madeleine- great display for all of your stunning moulds!!! Hope you're well? x
