Graphics for Screw Boxes
I picked up this box from a pile of rubbish spotted while walking through Soho this morning. I LOVE the designs you get on screw boxes. I realised I had a very small collection - you'll have spotted one on my blog header.
This one - but I also had this one below,
Aren't they lovely? I can't wait to find the next one for this collection now, I think it should be green. I'm not much of a graphic designer myself, I'm messier but I'd love to have a go at designing some of these boxes.

You are so right!! I love them too, so great that they never bothered to change the graphics so they look quite old style. I snapped a few in a fab hardware shop in Hereford http://kathydalwood.blogspot.co.uk/2010/06/found-interior-hardware-shop.html
ReplyDelete- must take my camera next time I go to Travis Perkins.
I think that's the first post of yours that I commented on being very envious to not be in that shop myself - I hope it survives without changing, what a dreamy place to visit!
ReplyDeleteWhat beauties! What a fine collection
ReplyDeleteYes and wouldn't they make lovely dress fabric, you heard it here first! Duvet covers, cushions etc. and a patchwork bedspread with all the different designs.....
